John Rushby
Rushby helped make formal assurance a practical part of the security conversation for high-consequence systems.
John Rushby is a computer-security researcher and SRI Fellow whose work addresses the assurance of critical systems. His research connects formal specification and automated reasoning to security, safety, and dependability.
Assurance as a security practice
At SRI International, Rushby has led and contributed to work on methods and tools used to reason about systems whose failure can have serious consequences. His publications include work on security policies, certification, and formal verification.
