Lambros D. Callimahos
Callimahos helped transmit cryptanalytic practice across generations of analysts. His teaching, writing, and course design made methodology—not only individual discoveries—a lasting part of security history.

Teaching cryptanalysis
At NSA he developed the advanced CA-400 cryptanalysis course, taught it repeatedly, and helped shape the Dundee Society formed by its graduates. The program emphasized analytical technique and disciplined practice.
Writing and institutional work
Callimahos wrote and revised cryptanalytic texts, including work associated with Military Cryptanalytics, and helped establish the NSA Technical Journal in 1955.
In memoriam
