Victor S. Miller
Miller’s 1985 elliptic-curve proposal became part of the technical basis of ECC, a widely deployed family of public-key systems.
Victor S. Miller is an American mathematician and cryptographer. His 1985 work proposed elliptic curves for public-key cryptography, independently of Neal Koblitz.
Cryptographic legacy
Elliptic-curve cryptography became an important approach to public-key design. Miller’s research also gave rise to the pairing computation commonly known as Miller’s algorithm.
